Where this crest design was concerned, it was taken into account that the owner
served in the Canadian Navy and therefore the vessel's crest follows classic
regimental' construction. The maple leaf clearly designates a Canadian registry, the
Pacific Dolphins denote the west coast home harbor and the marine signal flags the
name of the craft. The owner's request was that the boat's crest design be both
conservative and colorful.
Mariners will note that the signal flags around the crest
spell the vessel's name " HOT TODDY "
